The Lowdown

The Overview

The Lowdown is a quirky, 70’s themed bar nestled within the busy streets of Covent Garden. They offer an intimate escape with expertly crafted cocktails, rustic coffee and a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. The Lowdown partnered with Zone3 Media to create a visually striking promotional video designed to bring people through the door and increase social media visibility.

Objective

Our objective was clear: create a few short, captivating videos that captured the wonderful food and drink items that they serve and showcase the ambiance of The Lowdown Bar. The content needed to appeal to both tourists and London locals, driving awareness and foot traffic while strengthening The Lowdown’s brand presence online.

Approach

Zone3 Media approached the project with a cinematic mindset, aiming to highlight the core experiences that set The Lowdown apart: mood lighting, vibrant drinks, smooth music, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Our process included:

Pre-Production Planning: Working closely with The Lowdown team to identify key products and moments to highlight.

 

Cinematic Visuals: A blend of putting together dishes, intimate close-ups of cocktails, and some experimental ideas that were executed well.

 

Platform-Ready Edits: Delivering the final product in formats optimised for Instagram Reels, Stories, and grid posts.

Execution

 

 

The shoot was completed over a single day, allowing for complete freedom to get the perfect shot with our set-up. We used gimbal-stabilised movement to bring fluidity to the shots, paired with lighting to allow the bar’s underground charm to stand out.

 

Post-production focused on crisp editing, rhythmic pacing, and a vibrant colour grade that made the drinks and food achieve their full visual potential.
